About Me
My name is Joseph Thabang Palframan. I am a Bi-racial painter/artist from Namibia practicing in the Netherlands. My work is an exploration of what painting can do and mean. I intend on using my practice within a community framework. I document cultural changes as they happen, using painting as means of reflection and escape.
I would describe my work as magical realism, I am interested in the visual lexicon constructed by art linearity. By mimicking the art world I see around me I can blend in and differentiate what's new and interesting for me. The impact my background has on my work materializes meeting points between traditionalities.
